ETC Entertainment Central is a major commercial television network in the Philippines. It is owned by Radio Philippines Network and Solar Television Network, Inc. It is currently available over RPN flagship television station DZKB-TV channel 9 (free TV) after it had been pulled out from cable TV. However, it is still being aired on SkyCable and Destiny Cable channel 14, G Sat TV channel 4, Cablelink 34, Smart myTV, and nationwide via satellite owned or affiliate stations in the Philippines. ETC operates on free TV daily from 7:00am - 12:00 mn, while it operates on cable TV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Its studios are located at Solar Media Center, Worldwide Corporate Center, Epifanio de los Santos corner Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City and transmitter are located at Panay Avenue, Brgy. South Triangle, Quezon City.

ProgrammingEdit

ETC's programming consists of talk shows, dating shows, sitcoms, drama series, reality shows and entertainment news debut foreign from the United States. Locally, the channel airs news and current affairs programs. The network also promotes upcoming movies and sponsors events, particularly parties around the Metro Manila area and provincial regional area.Template:Citation needed

DistributionEdit

On January 1, 2008, ETC ceased to air over SkyCable as a separate channel. As part of block-time agreements with various terrestrial channels, ETC distributes programs over SBN 21, a terrestrial UHF TV Station in Metro Manila and selected cities in the Philippines. By March 2, 2011, ETC had moved to RPN when SBN 21 changed to Talk TV, now Solar News Channel.[1][2][3] Currently, ETC broadcasts on RPN from 7:00am–12:00 midnight.

RatingsEdit

According to Kantar Media/TNS, ETC is the top-ranked local female and entertainment-oriented television network in the Philippines with Cable and Free TV ratings combined (January 1 – May 31, 2012) with a 10.33% audience share (Free TV+Cable).[4]
